Brighten up your conversations with emojis, stickers, and GIFs!

Use Emojis and Stickers

Desktop
  • Click the smiley in the Message Editor for the emoji and stickers menu.

  • Scroll and browse to find the perfect emoji or sticker or use the search box at the top.

  • You can hover over an emoji or sticker in Flock to learn more about it.
  • Click on your chosen emoji or sticker to add it to your message.

Android
  • Tap the smiley in the Message Editor for the emoji and stickers menu.
  • Flock shows you a list of recently used emojis and stickers. Tap the "..."(on the left) icon for the overflow menu.
  • Tap on Smileys or Stickers and select an emoji/sticker to add to your message.

iOS
  • Tap the smiley in the Message Editor for the stickers menu.
  • Flock shows you an array of different stickers you can choose from here.
  • If you wish to use standard emojis, you can access the same from your built in Apple or Google keyboard.

You can also add emojis to your messages using emoji codes.


Set Emojis and Stickers as Channel Avatars

In order to set this for your channel, you may: 

  • Select the channel and click its name on the top left corner of the chat window. 
  • Click on the 'Camera icon' to present the edit options. 
  • Choose the emojis/stickers option. 
  • Pick an emoji/sticker and set the desired background for the same. 
  • Click Save and done!

Use GIFs

You can now share Giphy in two ways, first being the original slash command and another way is by attachment picker!

Share via Slash command:

  • In any conversation, type "/giphy" (omit quotes) followed by a short message(keyword).
  • A search window will pop-up wherein you can select the GIF of your choice.

  • Select a Giphy of your choice and hit send!

Share via Attachment Picker:  

  • Click on the + button available on the left-hand side of the chat bar.
  • Select the option called "Giphy"
  • A search window will pop-up wherein you can select the GIF of your choice.
  • Search and select a Giphy of your choice and hit send!

Along with this, you can also add a caption to your selected GIF :)
