By default, all team members can invite guests to your Flock team. However, only team admins can review guest access, change the list of team members and channels a guest has access to, upgrade a guest account to a team member or remove a guest account altogether.
Validity Reminder
When inviting a guest, team members can specify a validity reminder. On this date, the team admin(s) will be reminded to renew or remove the guest account.
Invite guests to your team
By default, all team members (but not guests) can invite guests to your Flock team. As a Team Admin, you can also invite guests from the Admin Panel.
- Go to the Admin Panel (https://admin.flock.com).
- Click on Manage Team in the sidebar.
- Click on the Add Member button.
- Select the option to invite Guest Members.
- Type in the email address of your guest.
- Optional: Set a reminder to review membership for the guest.
- Click on the Invite and Proceed button.
- Specify the team members that your guest can initiate conversations with.
- Specify the channels that your guest will be added to. They will not have access to other channels in your team - public or private.
- An invite link is emailed to your guest within seconds.
Upgrade a guest account to a team member
- Go to the Admin Panel (https://admin.flock.com).
- Click on Manage Team in the sidebar.
- Click on the Guests tab.
- Move the cursor over a guest account and click on the <ellipsis> icon.
- Click on the Upgrade to team member option.
- Review details and click Confirm.
Remove a guest account
- Go to the Admin Panel (https://admin.flock.com).
- Click on Manage Team in the sidebar.
- Click on the Guests tab.
- Move the cursor over a guest account and click on the <ellipsis> icon.
- Click on the Remove from team option.
- Review details and click Confirm.
