A team on Flock is where you and your team members work together. As a team admin, you can manage who can join your team.
Depending upon the domain names, you can create 4 types of teams:
- Auto-join Team
- Can-join Team
- Public Team
- Request to Join
1. Auto-join Team:
Admins have the option to enable users to join their organization, based on the organization's email domain (for example "@flock.com"). This makes the members of organizations to easily join the team. New users will see the option to join the existing organization(s) when they are creating their team.
Once a user joins an auto-join team, he/she cannot leave the team. Only team admins can remove the users.
To enable auto-join settings for a team:
- Go to the Admin Panel (https://admin.flock.com/).
- Click on Team Permissions.
- Click Automatically add users to the team and toggle the Turn on auto-join button.

4. Request to join team:
Request to join team is a team that is invite-only. This means for a user to join such teams, team admins' approval is required. Also, the Team Admin can reject the request to join for a user, if needed.
A team admin can change settings of Auto-join and Can-join teams and by default set them as Request to join teams.
